How about that. Crazy it took so long, but awesome lap from Max.

Crushed it today. Good to see the merc domination is closing up. Figured the pressure would be from Ferrari.

How about Honda? Was the relationship that toxic with mclaren? What did RB do different with them? Power output seems pretty close to the big dogs now

Way to go, Max! About time we see some serious competition at the front.

I’m thinking it’s just that they’ve (Honda) got their shit together now. Mclaren is doing a lot better now too.

I think the RB chassis is magic and now the Honda engine is competitive. +Max is as good as he says he is.

Interesting race yesterday. Cool to see strategy come into play the way it did. RB couldn't do anything about it.

Was nice to see Mercedes play a strategy card instead of just staying behind and trying to get him on the same tires. Shows how good the Merc team is as a whole unit. Great drive by Ham and Max.

Was also some great driving through the whole grid; from Carlos who ended up 5th, Bottas who lost out early and clawed back to 8th, solid drive by Raikonnen and Norris to keep the McLaren as best of the rest. Some good battles for a lowly 13/14th from Mag and Ric.

There was a lot of luck in it. They wouldn’t have been able to pit if there wasn’t such a huge gap behind him.

Usually Bottas or a Ferrari wouldn’t be so far behind.

Not sure what happened to Ferrari, getting lapped by the leaders

It's been a fun series of races lately - something exciting but very different each time.

                        Well, they did it.
Red Bull have decided to swap Gasly and Albon. Even though Kvyat has been the stronger of the two at Toro Rosso, looks like he'll never be back at the mothership.

That's another kick in the balls to Kvyat.

Maybe not. With Kyvat, they already know what he’s got. Not so much with Albon. They give him the shot now and re-evaluate for next seasons seat.

They had to do something. If Gasly had been in the mix at Hungary then Verstappen could have won. When Hamilton did the second stop he was gaining fast so Verstappen had to pick up the pace, which increased his tire degradation further. It left him a sitting duck. If Gasly had been behind Verstappen then Hamilton wouldn't have been able to do the free pit stop - he'd have to get by Gasly and that would take too long. But Gasly was a backmarker.

Too bad about Kvyat, I'm impressed with his driving this year and thought he deserved another chance. But I can see about trying something new.

                                Interesting theory about demoting Gasly.

By moving Albon up, they can compare Gasly's performances against Kvyat. Kvyat has the most F1 experience and is a more stable benchmark for both young drivers.

At the same time, Albon gets benchmarked against the faster Verstappen.

So Gasly, Kvyat and Albon are all being evaluated for the 2020 RedBull seat.

But I honestly don't see Daniil getting that seat because that would mean RB was wrong.
