Barcelona would be a yes I think.

Good video from F1, seems like honest assessments of testing last week:

They are back in Barcelona today for the final four days of testing.

McLaren at the top of the times today! Even If ultimately they are solidly mid-pack this would be awesome! Norris looks good.

            And again today.
Sainz just pulled off a stunner 1:17.1 lap. Think he was trying to impress Alonso watching. Then the car broke, lol.

Renault and McLaren are starting to show some pace. Could be the updated Renault engine is showing more gains as indicated by Abiteboul in preseason?

Also, Alonso confirmed as development driver for in-season testing.

For 2018, Alonso set the 3rd fastest time in all of the preseason testing. Hamilton and Bottas were 8th and 10th fastest. How’d 2018 turn out?? Lol. As much as I’d love to see Renault and McLaren near the front, preseason lap times mean fuck all. I do think Renault will be front of the mid-pack this year though.

Yeah, I don't expect them to be front runners, and of course these are runs on C4 tires. And ultimate or qualy pace doesn't always reflect on race pace. But it shows progress both for McLaren and also Renault.

Compare Alonso's 2018 Spanish GP Q3 lap of 1:17.7 and this lap shows over a half-second gain from last year. What was Alonso's best lap in 2018 March testing? 1:17.7 = same
McLaren obviously have a different approach to testing and they like to push for ultimate laptime. Mercedes are at the opposite end in terms of their approach.

We are still way off from Hamilton's Spanish GP Q3 lap of 1:16.1, so we may still see laptimes drop this week into the 16's.
Hammy pulled off a 1 sec faster lap than the fastest time from 2018 testing (and also to note was 2.25 secs quicker than his own testing best)

So there's no definite confirmation that a 1:17.1 gives a real indication of where they stand for rankings. But they are an improvement from last year.

K-Mag: A ‘big difference’ when following

Haas’ Kevin Magnussen has seen a “big difference” in his ability to follow cars with the new-spec 2019 aero package.

Wider front and rear wings have been introduced this year to allow cars to follow each other more effectively in a bid to boost overtaking.

Drivers, mechanics and principals across the paddock have been sceptical about the effectiveness of the updates, but Daniel Ricciardo revealed a scenario he encountered in testing last week which gave him hope that they would work.

Now, Magnussen has shared a similar experience, leading him to believe the new designs have allowed for a huge improvement on his ability to follow other drivers.

And boom 1:16's. Leclerc in the Ferrari just hit a 1:16.2 but on the UberSoft C5 tire. And Albon the rookie in the TR.

Let's see if we can get a 1:15.xxx before testing is up.

And Hammy just dropped a 1:18 but on the second hardest tire C2 so that shows some pretty good pace from Merc.

Leclerc also put down a 1:17.2 on the C2 tire on a quali like lap (out lap, hot lap, in lap) where as Hamilton did about 8-9 laps on the C2, probably wasn't running quali trim.

They are all running slower than they will in Melbourne, Merc hasn't shown any pace really but you know they'll be flying in a few weeks.

Merc's testing is probably just finding fidelity in their sims so they can optimize further and Hammy can get a race in every day before breakfast.

The nosebleed teams need to know if their car is going to break turned up to 11.

I heard that merc might be using 2 totally different spec cars through the year. They would technically be using 4 cars, but only bringing 2 to the track depending on the layout.

I know they change aero bits to suit different tracks, but it sounds like the cars will be quite different between the 2

                              Is that allowed?
I thought they had to homologate the chassis (meaning 1 chassis), for the season.
I can see having different bolt on bits for difference tracks.

Probably what they're doing. This week's test car was different than last week's,
Mercedes W10: Why Mercedes changed this 2019 car so much between Test 1 and Test 2 of pre-season testing | Formula 1®

Likely the same chassis but they must've developed 2 aero sets in the pre-season, safe and aggressive, or low/high downforce for differerent tracks?

Must be nice to have Merc $$. But they're also very cunning. (All other teams; "which design do we go with? Mercedes; "do both".)
