      What's your point? $800/40 min = $5k/4.1 hrs.

Ask me how you could win $100,000!

Sounds cheap. I won't rent miata for less than $500. Not worth it, gas, tires, brakes, wear and tear.

$800 includes race entry fee too, iirc.

$800 inc race fees sounds very little over cost. That's a great deal if true!

Better check with Greg or Jane then but I’m pretty sure it’s $550 for the ‘stang fueled and on street rubber, then $250 for the single race fee. Make that $300 as pricing hasn’t been confirmed 100% yet and you’re at $850. No need to refuel after the race or to replace the tires you corded on short track.

When I did the math it was almost the same price to rent a Mustang for each race or rent a garage and race my own car...assuming my car never needed maintenance. Once I have to spend money on my car it’s cheaper to rent.
Twice I've asked, and thrice you've ignored.

it's already worn and torn, and it'll use $15 in fuel . My tires are finally finished after 7 races plus a test day, so $87.50 per session. I'd be shocked if the brakes need replacing in the next 2 years.

But didn't you pay more than that?

There is a lot more to race cars than gas tires and brakes I've learned over the years.

4 hours of time to tow car to track and back, $50 in fuel to get it there and back. Wear and tear on components, oil, fuel, tires etc it adds up.

The mustang deal is honestly a great deal.

We were talking about this at the track the other day. Want to rent a formula Renault for an evening race? Franc will rent you it for $5k plus a $20k cash deposit.

$1000 for 2 hours of chump seemed expensive until we ran our own car, then it seemed cheap...

You can rent 8 legs Corvette for a race weekend (3 25min races?) $8000...

From a business perspective I'm just saying it wouldn't make sense for me to rent for less than $500.

If someone wanted to rent it for $300 a race they could buy it from me and do that. Would only take 50 races and it would pay for itself!

Ya but I got a “40k$” (or are we guessing 50 now) Miata with fresh motor, suspension, etc that is well sorted, well set up for the track, as well as use of an aim solo with smarty cam, data and video review with coaching, setup changes on the fly, etc.... They put new belts in it even.
It lives at the track and is always clean and ready to roll when I get there.

And it really wasn’t all that much more.

Does anyone talk to Ted Martin? He needs to come out on Saturday...he and that BMW could be serious on short track.
