Nah, it's because you wanted an unobtanium part, so instead of ponying up the (relatively small) amount of dough up front, you tried to frankenstein a custom unobtanium part from several parts bin pieces and chased problems all season.

You 'could' have just left it open diff and enjoyed a cheap season. You wanted to go faster. Racing itself isn't that expensive. Winning is. #justsayin

    EDIT: Forgot the winky face.

We all try to do things better and cheaper. It's all part of the game. Most aren't successful, but we all strive to do it. I had 'euuuggeee plans for the Mustang. Finally snapped out of it, and realized I could buy an already ready to go racecar and likely go faster for less money than half of the parts I wanted to buy, and a lot less time messing around with it. Spending money on tires/entry fees and time on track >>> spending money on car parts and time wrenching.

Carls race/lapping school is may4/5 , really recommend this for anyone looking to improve race craft. They teach that among many other things. only $995 taxes included for two days.

Novice days are in the race weekends, June 2nd and Aug 25th

Some lapping days and some PT races. We'll see how the schedule works out.

yes you can. pass the course and you qualify for a license. Then, every new license holder goes through a probationary status, run 3 sanctioned races without getting the attention of the stewards and you're fully licensed.

carl just told me he is 50% sold out. so get in there if you are thinking about it.

Highly recommend the course. I did it last year - was cold and wet and my car had absolutely no grip, and I still had a blast. I'd done a couple of race license courses before, and I have to say this was really good. Tempted to do it again.

FWIW- I think Grant should get a free pass.

Probably has more mojo than some of the hammerheads they let on the track.

My other car is 10 motorcycles that don't start

My list for this upcoming season.

    - Get out to as many 1morelap evenings as possible.

    - Spend less time under my car.

    - Get smoother on track now that the car runs well on a regular basis - smooth is fast....smooth is fast.

    - try to get consistently in the mid to high 2:2x on street tires at Boogie

    - Get back to Mosport, Tremblant and Shannonville more often.

    - Instruct at novice days whenever time permits.

    - Get in better shape!

    My goals for this year:
    -Volunteer for 1Morelap Novice days
-Attend another riding school, possibly FAST or The BMW ART school at Bogie, still deciding which
-Get CBRF4 Track bike crack welded, everything else should be ready
-Make sure F4i 'Trackfighter' bike is ready to go, and will gift it to the old man so we can both do track days
-Attend as many Pro6 days as possible
-Try not to end up in hospital/off work

Hopefully I'll spend a good amount of time at Bogie and meet some new people.

You can get a licence without doing the school, just so you know.

Exactly. You just need a decent “track resume” and get one of the CASC guys to observe you.

Oh yeah, I need to take Daveís car out for a parade lap...sloooooow through 1.
    Any time Grant.

Tell me you are not $10k into that car this year already...of your own money. Most expensive S2000 ever
