On their way to a team meeting at RedBull HQ...

Max did the same fake / move over double defend move he got reprimanded for all of last year and now he paid for it. Fuuuuuuck. Was a great race other than that. Would have been sweet to see them battle it up with ultras ...oh well.

Someone as to tell that kid that this ainít NASCAR and that others are allowed to pass him and even be in front of him. Rubbing, hitting and crashing is not how you race in F1 but sure is making it interesting. Such bad luck for Bottas.

^ disagree. Up to that point the wheel to wheel stuff between them was utterly brilliant.

Second move was pretty close the the braking zone. Iíd like to see the data on speed/braking but it doesnít matter, both rbr with dnf. Ric committed to pull a Mansell, maybe if he pulled Max further on the outside earlier on the straight there would of been more room back on the inside. With drs, maybe Ric didnít need the slipstream as much.

And then Vettel trying the same with cold tires/brakes at the restart with 4 laps to go... that was a ballsy move for sure. Lots of people say he should have been more patient, he had the better car and would have had DRS to pass Bottas easily.

Almost seemed like Max started braking early forcing Daniel to rearend him. Hard to tell but Daniel definitely came in too hot.

They’ve been ordered to report to the factory and apologize in person to the employees. https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/13...actory-apology

that said, I think Verstappen is more than half to blame for the incident. He made what looked like 2 moves in the braking zone. A no no. Can’t say he didn’t see Danny Ric.

They got rid of that 2 moves rule last year

So it's okay to block then.

I still think it's wrong to block your own teammate twice in the braking zone. Niki Lauda, who has never had a problem voicing his opinion, says that Verstappen is at least 70% to blame. https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/13...red-bull-clash.
I tend to agree, especially given his knowledge of Danny Ric's divebombing tendency.

If you are following the rules, how can you be blamed?

There are rules for all drivers and then there are rules between teammates I would think. Sort of like common sense. Remarkably absent in the Ricciardo vs. Verstappen dust-up. So yes, I agree but......

with the start of the season well underway if this keeps up, this will be a great battle for both the driver/team championship.

Bottas - that was his win and extremely unlucky.
Grosjean - just wow. 0pts for the year - he should be mid-pack at very least.

worst team? williams so far. no doubt. is the car that slow or just both can't get the most out of the car. Being his 2nd season, stroll needs some regular top 12 showings. Learning curve is over and needs to start pushing some decent results.

Every race since the beginning of the season, Max has been involved in a race incident, if not 3 or 4 times a race. Because of that he’s way down in the championship points while a guy like Alonso is far ahead of him in the McLaren. When people ask who’s to blame with the Max/Ricardo incident, it makes me laugh.
