I wonder what kind of sanctions they are going to take against Grosjean. I have not heard anything about the investigation, but doing a burnout to get back on the track in the middle of an F1 start was not a wise decision.

Penalty was handed out yesterday. 3 grid places in Monaco. Stupid move for sure, but he also took himself out. 3 grid places in Monaco is like 10 anywhere else.

That was the only interesting part of the race. Otherwise snoozeville. Though yeah, seriously questioning the judgement there. When the pendulum got past 90 degrees he should have locked it up.

FERNANDO ALONSO is being lined up for a shock move to Haas in order to replace Romain Grosjean

    https://www.express.co.uk/sport/f1-a...n-Grosjean/amp

Thatís according to Spanish outlet Diario Gol, who claim Alonso is considering joining the American-based team.

Alonso returned to McLaren after a four-year stint with Ferrari in 2015 but it has been far from a comfortable ride for the Spaniard.

He is yet to finish on the podium in his four years with the British Formula One team.

There were suggestions during pre-season testing that McLaren could begin to challenge at the front of the grid in 2018 and, while there has been progress from last yearís performances, they have not been able to challenge Red Bull, Ferrari and Mercedes.

Recent reports have suggested Alonso is ready for a new challenge with a different team when his contract runs out next year.

Personally don't believe this, we'll see I guess - don't see why Alonso would do this. If he wanted out there are plenty of empty seats coming up for next season - he could shop himself around for a seat with a top team

I can't see Alonso going anywhere but Merc or he will retire.

And I'm sure Hamilton would welcome Alonso with open arms.

That's the only positive angle I see for him.

Yeah, no way. Hamilton I'm sure has a clause specifically for Alonso. Only if Hamilton were to leave, pull a Rosberg? Vettel is at Ferrari for a few more years, don't see a big shift happening there.

I see the same issues for Danny Ric.

Mclaren is his best option for Indy. Although Honda might make that difficult.
Mclaren has been rumoured to be interested in fielding a car in IndyCar. Possibly with help from Andretti.

If anything I could see Ric and Alonso swapping rides.

Yes and his best chances are still with Mercedes. Call me crazy but I see Riccardo there. I think he is the more aggressive Bottas they are looking for
