Nice topic, works well for me as I am goal-oriented.

    Goals:

    • help out at all 1MoreLap Novice days
    • have fun, learn and teach at all track events (11 so far including MCO and 1MoreLap)
    • do some karting with my son
    • beat my previous best times at any track I attend including hitting a 2:19 at Bogie
    • keep the engine in one piece
    • stay married

    Wishlist:
    • would love to get to Tremblant even though I say it every year
    • compete at a CSCS event
    • compete at a Ontario Time Attack event
    • compete at a Calabogie GT Challenge event
    • still stay married

Laptime goals I had written out for the CTDA event:

Fun doesn't begin to describe it.

    - The time attack is super fun and simple with 4 simple classes and a shoot-out at the end. The other competitors are super friendly, supportive, and recognize great drives.

    - During the evening, there is a full stock car program at the oval and I think there is drag racing, too. People are buying tickets for this show and your registration for the weekend means you get to see it all for free. If you're game, you get to drive in a fun race with your fellow time attack/autocross competitors in front of the crowd, complete with pace car, flags, announcers, etc. All three Berniers, Dakota, Pat, Bill Rogerson, and others were all on the track in that oval race and I think Rob might have been there, too.

    - Sunday, the autox course is laid out on the track.

The Autox day will be a points even fro the MCO Canadian Tire Carling Avenue Championship.

I'd like to improve on my lap times which translates into improving my driving technique . I'd like to attend another driving school and do as many 1morelap + MCO events as I can squeeze in. Would also like to try Tremblant out for once. That's more involved as it means sleeping overnight = more wife points spent.

    #1 goal = have fun

I forgot to mention my track goals:

    1. Not incur any mechanical disasters.

    2. Scare myself in a good way at least twice.

    3. Enjoy all my friends -- and my family -- at the track.

    4. Get Will on track at Tremblant.

    5. Work with newbies and non-traditional participants and get them addicted to this hobby.

    6. I really should look at doing a Challenge . . . but I don't know if my ego can handle finding out how slow I am.

Lots of people bring their wives to the Tremblant event. My wife will be there, so will Trish . . . it's quality family time.

We have two young kids so that complicates things with driving up in the vette When my oldest is 15 or whatever the age is to ride along I'll bring him. Now if only I still tracked the Forester we'd have room for everyone....

Last time I bought tires for the vette I hmm'd and haww'd about going NT01 vs NT05. In the end being a street car I stayed with the 5's just in case I ever get pulled over by Ottawa's finest I can say they're street legal tires.

    Mid 2:teens at CMP.

Love to get to Tremblant again, but not sure how to pull that off. No trailer. Do it faster than 1:59.

Love to get to The Glen again, but not sure how to pull that off. No trailer. Faster than 2:21 (was still learning the track when engine went wonky).

Get through the season without blowing a Barb engine.

    Maybe get race license.

NT01's will be for track only. Got enough street tires already, plus still want to test out the new Hankook RS4's.

Also I can't have an instructor in the car. BMW @ Tremblant wants to do that.

    In order of priority:

    - CMP Full Track: 2:3x
    - Podium in AutoX C Class championship
    - Lapping at Shannonville
    - Rock out at Ste Eustache
    - Try out Calabogie GT
    - Buy oval racecar

EDIT: Work on specific corners @ CMP:
    - Corner 8: Too slow, wrong line - Try different lines, more balls
    - Corner 14: Eyes drop, brake too much, don't use all of the track - More speed, keep eyes up
    - Corner 15: Moar balls
    - Corner 16: Moar balls

    1. Do more chump (starting off in Daytona April 1st - excited)
    2. Keep working on and learning how to setup Civic
    3. Improve driving as always
    4. Maybe hit up Tremblant...been a few years.
    5. And of course...help out at and around CMP if I can, instructing, volunteering etc

Contact info for Registration at Tremblant?

I'd like to keep atleast one car running at all times and get plenty of participation out at 'Bogie. I would really like to do a few autox events as well, and a visit to Tremblant/Eustache/Mosport would be a healthy addition.

Tentatively planning get a 3 pack of GT races.

Mechanically, I should really get my Rabbit on standalone and the MR2 needs a motor swap. Dates TBD.

    86' MR2 - The Dirty Deuce
    91' CB250 - The 'Hawk

    Register with BMW QC here:

    BMW Auto Club Quebec

Realistically it sees like MCO will never get a date at Tremblant. There doesn't seem to be any desire from the track to host us. BMWQC is a good alternative.
