But there's a bigger point here. The 1-series is the last car that BMW engineered before the Germans, as a car-making culture, fell out of love with driving.

I dunno man... is there a tune on a turbo engine in there somewhere...

    Adjustable Coilovers +10
    Tires +10

My car is base D. Those items would put me at C+5. There's another 25 more points before A class lol.

    I currently have:
    - RS3s: +10
    - 3 degrees neg camber: +3
    *** puts me at D+13

    Future plans include:
    - Panhard bar & torque arm: +4
    - Non adjustable coilovers: +7
    - 275 wide tires: +2
    ***would put me at C+11

Then assuming I swapped in GT40s...
    - Heads: +4
    - Header: +2
    - Tune: +2
*** would be B+4 (still have 10 points before A class)

    Let's keep going
    - Remove rear seats and carpeting, battery relocation: +5
    - Throw on some D.O.T. R-Comps: +3 (3 points higher than RS3's)
    - And make'em 295 wide: +1
    - And lets do that exhaust: +1
    ... OR ...
    - Throw on Hoosiers: +7 (7 points higher than RS3s)
    - That are 295 wide: +1
    - Also do the exhaust: +1
    - but also remove the cats: +1

    Still not in A yet...

E class is generally the battle of the econoboxes. Right now it's being dominated by a Fiesta ST and an Abarth.
D class is seeing a great spread this year, with my Mustang, a WRX, a Civic, a Focus ST, an Abarth, an RX7 and an E30.
C class is a couple of civics and a couple of Miatas.
B class is a lot of miatas.
A class is a vette, a miata, a BMW, a lotus and a formula car.

If you start off in E class, good tires and coilovers is 29 points. Puts you in D class with only 1 point to spare.

Really wanted to bring formula, just the flames out the exhaust would be fun. No headlights is not safe I understand.

Maybe I can run at dusk? It would only be for 2 runs.

You can bring it to the final points event on Sept 17... no headlights needed that day.

I've pm'ed Schmoo a while back about this.

I'm not in it for points, I'm in it to have fun in a parking lot at night or dusk in a car. It would be crowd pleaser. I also have a formula libre race the 21th (I think). Not wanting to burn off rubber before that. Naresh told me to bring other car 16th.. maybe if it rains
