Anyone here a member? I'm interested in doing a lapping day at Tremblant in August or Sept. I emailed them a month ago and have yet to receive a response.

I'm a member of the Boston chapter, because you have to be a member to do their Tremblant event (insurance reasons). I consider the membership fee a cost of doing the event, which is well worth the trip.

    See http://www.boston-bmwcca.org/events/...px?EventID=810

Got an email recently with some details:

    Breaking News!

I can confirm that the Boston Chapter will again be hosting our Bimmers Across the Border (#17) in 2015. The club has moved heaven and earth (some say it was a lot of old used track tires and a few cases of beer but staying with the heaven and earth theme for now) to get this event back on the calendar for this year.

Now we need your support! This event will be open to a limited number of students and instructors so that we can observe the 30 car limit, per session imposed by the track yet give the extended track time that the Boston chapter is known for.

Boston BMW CCA - Tremblant Dates - July 31st, August 1st and 2nd.

Plan your vacations accordingly and registration is open at the link below.

Oh, Canadian BMW Club Members may register at the same rate$ as US BMW CCA members.

(PS - Apologies to MS Reg folks for getting this note twice).

    Regards

    Simon Cooper

Tremblant is worth it. We've been trying to secure a date for a long, long time.

Yup. And they are very strict and will nail your ass to the wall just for something to do.

Basically, full size enclosed trailer, you better have a dually.

But there's a bigger point here. The 1-series is the last car that BMW engineered before the Germans, as a car-making culture, fell out of love with driving.

I don't know how we made it with the chump to Ste. Eustache.

Maybe police were afraid of catching ebolaids from it.

I've never witness this, Qc cops harrasing cars with Ontario plates. I keep hearing about it but never seen it, like a car pulled over with On plates. I guess I should go out more often.

I saw a 613 truck with Ontario plates pulled over on Maisonneuve the other day... kinda looked like this and the owner was arguing while the cop was pointing at the fenders and tires... The tires were so big they would not even fit in the fenders.

I'm not trying to protect the Qc cops, I hate the Qc governments (<<for Wookie>>) just as much as Harper, but I don't want guys to think they can't enjoy one of North America's greatest race tracks because they can't drive in the province of Qc without being hassle like a black man in LA.

Heard back from Kostron within hours. Thanks Guys. Has anyone done the BMW thing at Tremblant? Seems like a lot of hassle with instructors, and 4-5 run groups? Only running once every 2 hours?

We pull a 28 ft enclosed trailer all over QC in the winter time with an F-150. 4-5 weekends a season. Haven't had any issues since 2006. And it's not just across the border, we are upto lac St jean etc
