MANL: Check to see if they are the SFI rated ones or the FIA rated ones. The ones with the SFI tag MUST be recertified every 5 years. Only costs $15 plus shipping, but still.

We need a group buy for Hans device. Who's going to take care of getting the boys proper safety equipment at a reasonable price? I like the $500-$600 that Luker mentioned. Who's in?

Ya, got an email back last night.

    Simpson Race H20LSIIQC
Head And Neck Restraint; HANS Sport II; Large; Sliding Quick Click Anchor; Does Not Depend On Seat Belts; Black; Carbon Fiber

This is the part number i found stock on at keystone, but i cant seem to get that number to work on Simpsons website.

Im assuming everyone wants the Sport 2 Model ($579 USD) not the Pro Ultra model ($995 USD) ?

Im going to call Simpson this morning to figure out how the numbers go in keystones system.

I wear a medium. I doubt anyone here needs a large.

Would be good to get a list of sizes and model wanted and tether type.

My neck size is 18/18.5. For some reason I think my Hans is a medium-large?!?

You can adjust the pads on the neck to move inward if it's too large.

Your seating position is a big factor in deciding your head restraint system.
Folks who have more of a lay-down seat tend to prefer the Simpson. The Hans works nicely for more upright seats.
I practically lie on my back in my vee...and still use a Hans...its not optimal (I have removed the chest pads to make it work)

FWIW- I had two "nose into the tire wall" crashes...both times relatively slow. Both times my head went hard to the limits of the tethers.
The things work. In both cases they saved me a very sore neck.

    Ya...that too.
Some guys in formula cars...especially if you have a manly chest (w/ certain helmets) find the hans doesn't fit at all...or it gets hung up when you try to get out fast.

I have Pam at Simpson sending me an email for this afternoon with all available part numbers, sizes and options. The website does not show all that.

Just talked to my old rep who is outwest now with a big distributor, They are still small enough I can work deals with them. Maybe I should start a separate thread, but thinking we can try to get a deal on Simpson, Gforce and Hawk as like a group buy, try to get max discount to pass on to everyone. Could group it with MCO also.

"Does Not Depend On Seat Belts" - what does this mean, exactly? HANS I have seen strap under the shoulder belts.
