My first computer... well I was a poor teenager so I built it out of parts. Had a primitive 1802 microprocessor running at 1 MHz (but each instruction took 8 cycles so actually 128 kHz), Started with 256 bytes of memory, upgraded to 1.25k, then 4k, then 16k, then eventually 64k. Designed my own cassette interface to store my programs, with the idea for the audio modulation coming from Popular Electronics; was kinda cool because it didn't need a bootloader.

In my third year of university I replaced it with a clone Apple II computer. I bought a bare clone circuit board and scoured the city and my junk box for the chips. Total cost $200. It was 10X faster than my homebuild. Saved my money and got a floppy disk for it.

Got my first "real" computer after graduating, a turbo XT clone computer at 8 MHz. Had an actual 10 MB hard drive!

I don't know where any conflicts of interest exist, however I agree transparency is always key.

In terms of the whole new club thing, MCO isn't broken that much. The only 2 things that I see are wrong with it are the accounting, and the recruitment. This isn't just a good-ol' boys, dirt derby'n their 70's charger. This is legit, sanctioned racing. We host both Regional and National level events in various disciplines, and honestly we are far less political than CASC (though some are trying to change CASC for the better). That's not saying, we're better than others so we're good, just that our governance is controlled by a far more political club. Without them, we lose our ability to host sactioned events.

Last time I worked with Scruffy I found no lack of KOOL-Aid.

On a MCO business note: it would be lovely to get the exhaust fixed on both WDS vehicles so the occupants can enjoy some level of comfort not needing the windows opened all the way so they don't die of carbon monoxide poisoning.

Thanks brah! BTW, if only 1 person, just the driver's window needs to be down... but it needs to be down anyway. Heat always needs to be full blast once the truck is workin'.

I think he was talking about the Jeep and Truck, not the race cars.

Me too. Drove all last night with just Driver window down in truck. Jeep was only driver window half down. Not dead.

    Isn't it

If I'd died, who would derail Exec Meetings off topic... I mean, other than Bill.

    lol.

noted that both windows don't have to be open. was going on your recommendation to not die from fumes and have both open.

    bill has lots of stories.

Yeah, normally have two windows down if two people in truck. Or if grooming... It's hard to see the groomer on the right through a foggy window and snow covered mirror.

The last thing the MCO needs is another plow truck incident.

But there's a bigger point here. The 1-series is the last car that BMW engineered before the Germans, as a car-making culture, fell out of love with driving.
