Can you disable airbags (i.e pulling a fuse) in many cars? The Insurance doesn't cover airbags or labour above $100/hr... sounds like you could still be on the hook in a big way if you bumped a high-performance street car.

All track cars are heavily modified and we have to declare an approx value. That could be a potential nightmare when time comes to pay out on a policy? I mean who figures how much a track car is really worth?

I would assume they would establish all that before signing on the dotted line, no?

its market value, doubt they will cover mods.

Any amount paid cannot be more than the car’s market value at the time of the accident and all claims are subject to an excess/deductible as shown on the Track Day Insurance details.
still though. I just sent this to a friend who has been on the fence about joining me at bogie. hopefully this gets him to join us and others like him....

So they don’t cover track cars cause what is market value on a 10 to 20+ year old car?

depends on the car. a 15 year old porsche 911 turbo is worth more than my subaru.

exactly, it appears to be better suited for regular street car with exceptional value, vs track cars. coverage starts at 30k. Lots of street cars are worth that.

Wouldn't think if you had a track car you would really be looking at this. I really think this is for people with street cars. That once a year type person cause this isn't cheap. So now track day is $350 for entry + fuel etc + $300-$500+ for insurance.
