Dude I told you cornering speeds are the same. Based on my lap data his cornering speeds are nearly identical to mine. Only place that was mark-ably different was kink I do 160 he was 180, in the slower corners like 12 exactly the same, also quarry I cruise through there at 95-100.

I actually turn into 10 at 135 and he's going exactly the same.

I'm betting if you had data on your 2:18 lap you would see you are actually cornering faster and harder! They are making up time in the straights. When I first got my Michelin's I was pulling 1.9 gs all over the place, they fell off like a rock though. I'm sure you were doing the same on Hoosiers!

Wish I could run 2:04's though LOL

I think what wing is saying is, give him a Porsche and he'll run 2:04's all day long.

Nope, but Greg may be able to. What I am saying is we were discussing it, like when we were like there (didn't see you there) and Greg was saying they corner much harder. But I didn't think so, slightly faster yes (wider cars, bigger tires). But looking at the data (science doesn't lie) I was correct it's basically the same. A few k's here and there.

I have the data from short track when my tires were new. Greg needs a data logger

Greg needs to drive a non-crashed Speedmerchant porsche around Bogie to substanciate those claims... I'd love to see that.

Except for a couple of driver's most of the driver's in these cars are just regular rich dudes. I wouldn't doubt if many of us could run similar times with practice. Chris Green was cleaning up the field though... he fast!

That guy is a huge prick BTW - he calls people out on the Montreal racing forums.

Yeah you can run a 2:04, but that doesn't make me respect you.

yah some of his corner speeds are really close to what I saw on hoosiers. But I'm dreaming if I think I can knock even 5secs off my time, let alone 14.

a lap timer would be sweet, I'm jealous of you guys knowing how your lap is going at all times.

Carl let me borrow his AIM laptimer at the Time Attack - VERY COOL! It's one of the only ones with "predictive" lap times. So basically it's telling you if the lap you're currently on is going to be faster/slower than your best. Works really well if you're focusing on one corner too.

Given that it was my first time with it, I had trouble understanding it, but I could see getting used to it for sure. Would make a good xmas/b-day present LOL

IIRC, the timer/logger is only about $400
