Default 2017 Calabogie Race Series (100% unofficial)

I've waited long enough. Time to start talking about this. My car is ready and as long as it doesn't develop any new gremlins I should be able to run a full season...finally. If the car and wallet can keep up I'd like to run most of the season with back to back PT/GT races. I really enjoyed the seat time and now that my fuelling issues have been addressed I should be able to get into the false grid before the race starts.

I'm really looking forward to it!

Who else is in? Any big plans brewing? Moves from GT to PT?

Pierre is Pierre, Shawn is out due to baby, Doug added a few hundred horsepower, Jeff might have his car sold by then, Steve may or may not show up race to race, Kevin is Mini-less, Mr. Walsh has more building to do, Luc promises to be faster this year, etc, etc.

    What else?

    Yeah Geoff sold.

Grant, the PT race rolls when the GT guys are coming into pit lane sometimes, so no fueling?

I like your enthusiasm, but I'd concentrate on one series if it were me...

Once I'm on the track and ready to race it doesn't change much to run 30 minutes Vs an hour. Or course there is more wear and tear on the car but I'm getting twice as much seat time so that is to be expected.

For me the big deal is taking the day off, prepping the car, getting to the track, then having to pack everything up and haul it all home afterwards. If I can add more racing while I'm there then I'm getting more bang for my buck...as long as I avoid the underhood bangs.

    ...when I get a car.
...which isn't looking good so far.
...might not be on the track at all next season.

That's cool. But it's not racing. I wish lapping 'did it' for me. Would be way cheaper

Throwing good money at racing just killed the fun for me. You'll see EXACTLY what I mean in 2 years from now bro.

I must be a slow learner, I'm six years into this racing thing.
    Current toys:
    1997 BMW 328is race car
    2014 Chevy Silverado
    2012 VW Golf R
Spent $1300 on new fasteners when building race car

Lol. I'm only a few in but I'm ok with the spending so far. I'd think if I was out there on my own...in the front, middle, or back, then I'd re-evaluate. Right now I've caught up to the 2:20 crowd and will hang out there and be happy.

I don't need to win to have a great time. Just some good battles, less bottle sorting, and more JP/Luc garage after race 'parties', and the ROI is perfect.

Can you even last 1 hour on a tank? I usually do 1L/min and start to starve at around 1/8-1/4 tank left...

    You're doing it wrong

Also, I think GT racing (point-by) vs. wheel to wheel is different. Really thought to go back to point by when you've done wheel to wheel.

For me: hoping to do 1-2 events with the monster. Not sure if they're going to be 1morelap days or PT races.

Also, rumour has it Chris should be out with the e30 race car again. Not sure if he will do the full series though
