This is crazy, the grip, downforce, braking and acceleration of this car.

I don't know, I have a video of a bunch of top notch hillclimb cars racing on a mountain side and you look at them and think wow, not much can be quicker than that.
And then the F1 cars go and it looks fake, like it's on fast forward. Speeds were like 50km/h quicker in the same corners... Unreal.

And F1 cars are so restricted in every aspect of the car it's not even funny.

This reminds me of one of my favourite cars. I've been following Andrew Brilliant and his eclipse. What he has done with a DSM is amazing.

He got kicked out of the land speed record contest at El Mirage, because his car was too fast.
Then went trackside with it and ended up getting: (in his first season)
First place Street FWD, Second Place overall Street class, Redline Time Attack! at Willow Springs International Raceway
Record holder, Street FWD, Willow Springs International Raceway 1:31.267
Overall Champions Limited FF, 2009 NASA Super Lap Battle, Buttonwillow raceway
He was coming second in the next class up when he moved on.

He is now a Aero consultant for Time attack cars.

I keep reading on what he's done and it's just staggering. It shows me that I haven't even scratched the surface on what my car can do.
To give you a idea on downforce these guys create, Andrew hired a aerospace company to build him the front splitter on his car.
To give him a serious front splitter: (look at the stength)

He very quickly figured out that he could max out 1000lbs springs :hail:...crazy

I've been reading for months on what hes done and how he got there. So awesome to read someone who has done all the R&D and what has come up with.

That's NOTHING !!

I'll bring something new to the table...

At first there was the park bench. Then the dual park bench, as pictured above...

I will have the first spectator grand stand Wings front and back !!

I don't think he'd be competitive nowadays but still a massive accomplishement right there. The FWDs can do well when coupled with massive downforce.
If there were no downforce, it would be pretty useless. But fortunately, with downforce, the front tires can get grip in straight line and in the corners too.
