So I have been thinking about doing some lapping/ solo II with you guys this summer at some point. Decided before dropping coin on a helmet should see it I fit.

Put in a neighbors skidoo helmet. Got in the RSX. Have to tilt head to avoid hitting roof liner

Take top of helmet to the grinder and flatten it.

Or run into a wall headfirst to shorten your neck.

I fit under the sunroof.

But not under the fabric area. Sucks.

Lean seat back a notch?

Are skidoo helmets "thicker" than a SA rated car helmet?

I could lean the seat back somewhat, but don't really find it comfortable. I like to be upright when driving.

My wife leans way back. Can't understand how that's comfortable.

Not replacing seats. Still her DD car. Heated leather nice in winter.

Ah too bad you can't lower the seat, I wonder If you can get a "low" seat base.

Like aftermarket seats but keep OEM seat. Worth a thread on RSX forums?

There are a few people who lower their seats in the RSX, I will find the thread on CRSX tonight and post it.

hitting headliner on side or back of head?

Pretty much top center of helmet. I tilt head to the right to have no contact. Didn't bother trying to recline the seat that will definitely work, just want to make sure it's a comfy driving position. Don't want to feel like I am giving up any kind of control.

He's gone out for the night. Will try to get pics this weekend.

A lot of guys sit way closer to the steering wheel at the track that they do on the street. Try moving the seat a bit closer and then reclining it a bit and see if that works. If not, just put one of those tractor knobs on the wheel.

I have to slide forward and lean back to fit in my car. Felt weird at first but the alternative was no track time. Weird it is.

Should be a way to mount the seat lower by cutting the brackets or something.

You should just gut your wife's car so you can go lapping once.
