Yeah last year I couldn't doit, but its a high speed corner so it's perfectly fine.

I havent tried the '91 there yet... All i know is in my '07 I hit 210 at the hump on shitty all OEM all season (i.e. crappy exit speed at 5b) and then started braking for the the turn. Turn 8 was always fine for me even on those tires, but i would always come too hot into 9 and 10 too much slip, bad lines... bleh... id really like to go back and try in the '91, that's its original home. Turn 2 is still my favorite :D

lol I don't know what to make of it. The last owners are very knowlegeable and have spent a lot of time at Mosport doing Ontario Time Attack and mustang days, and that's what they tell me. But it does seem a little crazy. Either way i know I wont be being 230 around that corner...

As you should be! Well they either have big balls or big mouths... or both. They have been pretty accurate about everything else they have told me though... that's why i dontk now what to beileve. Guss I'll have to try it myself, and have an RLC Track Commander now, so that will give me some data to analyze next time i go there.

Nah, it fills up pretty fast. IIRC I had my deposit in Dec 2010, and fully paid in Feb. He has a waiting list though you can see if you can be put on.

Keep in mind that Klaus' car runs out of gear at 200kph, so that's as fast as he's going up the back stretch. Don't judge your speeds around that turn by what it looks like Klaus is doing.

I'm basing that off of what my instructor was telling me to do last year, I had lots left but hitting that hump at 220+ is unnerving to say the least lol

Yes, it was, father and son team. The son then build up an 06 mustang, and eventually moved out west to work in Alberta. I bought the car off the father last year.

thought so..... remember seeing that mustang / was my instructor at solosprint school. it looked well prepped / race ready.

Atkins' car has been around solosprint before I started in 2001. It's quick and I don't recall them having any issues with it. It was run by Perry Iannuzzi (current CASC-OR prez) before the Atkins but there may have been an owner in between.

PS Chris is quick so you're doing good if you can get close to his times.

They did a phenomenal job preparing that car. Everything was done right, no skimping on anything, which is nice, you dont want to have to buy a car and have to redo anything. The cage alone is a thing of beauty.

Robin: Was your instructor Chuck(Dad) or Chris (son)? Did you go out in the car?

Jgraves: Apparently it has been through a couple of owners. We bought it just after a complete rebuild of the motor. So it's fresh and strong. The Atkins boys put a lot of work into once they got it. I don't know if I'll ever be as fast as Chris, but I'll sure try!
