get some tires or you'll be disappointed with your high 12's..... :)

I have no intentions of running anything spectacular. It's more to get a feel for the car. I am getting tires in the next few weeks

No sir. ET was no better than when I was NA but best trap speed was 115. Could not hook until mid 3rd gear. Initially I was running mid 14's until they sprayed the track.

track was horrendous - the rail cars were spinning their 2 foot wide slicks.

even with 25% throttle (as seen on my Scanguage) I was spinning all the way through 1st, 2nd, and the beginning of 3rd. And that is with ESP on.....

best was 14.2@105.

I dunno why you guys keep wasting your money there to get shitty times.

Sounds like the same excuses ... uh, conditions as every year, since the summer of 99*.

* I say 99 because that's when I was introduced to that place.

Agreed. At least at a road course the track is a constant, and the driver is the excuse.

Albeit, more expensive.

Go to a better track and stop wasting your money.

I dont know, I ran mid 12's there in a car that is not even supposed to launch very well and was on street tires. It's a crab shoot?

It's not just about the track but also the activity itself. SOme people prefer lapping and some prefer 1/4 mile. Luskville is close and I enjoy it. Some don't. Oh well.

I knew somebody was going to say that. Those two definitely look like lobster to me too. In my defense, it was taken from an article on pistol crabs (http://www.articlesextra.com/pistol-crab-alpheus.htm) (or pistol shrimp) - which actually exist. I know, it's a poor defense. lol

Well, that is Fwd for ya! With your little turbo it probably spools right away like mine did so you get instant tire roasting and the crappy track made it worse. That is one reason I sold mine. Fun to drive parts were reasonable but traction was hard to come by, you will never see better than 13's on street tires especially the ones you want to purchase.

Ya I know, if I can break into the 13's I will be happy on street tires. Witha 105 mph trap, I know I have the speed. There are sweet ass electronic gizmo's out there that would get me deep into the 13's, but the wiring is a nightmare.

Plus Dodge decided this car needed Charger police package brakes. I can't go under 18". For me to get 15's and slicks means converting to regular Caliber brakes, which requires some custom brackets, cause the spindles are not the same.

I can get 18" drag radials, but not sure how much of a difference they will really make.

I really wouldn't bother with spending more on tires for the 1 or 2 times you will go and use them during a summer. You will just have to accept your car will only be fast on the highway! Unless you get some kind of EM that will control boost in each gear.
